- 下午3 時前申請調閱者，請於申請當日下午 3 時後至借還書櫃台辦理借閱手續；下午3時以後申請者請於次一工作日借閱。逾三日未取者，除不予保留外，並將累計其紀錄，每三冊逾期未辦理借閱者，則停止其調閱權三十天。
Users who apply for books placed in the compact stack before 3:00 pm, please go to the Circulation Desk for the loan procedure. If loan requests are applied after 3:00 pm, please conduct the loan procedure by next day. After three days, the books borrowed will not be reserved, and the record will remain. With three records, the borrowing rights of loans for the books of the compact stack will be suspended for 30 days.
- 有本館借書權限者：可外借一般圖書，其餘資料一律限館內使用。外借時須另於借還書櫃檯辦理借書手續。
Users with the right of borrowing the books can borrow the general books, but the other types of library materials can only be used within the library. When the loans are needed, users need to go to the Circulation Desk for the loan procedure.

Visitors who do not have the membership of the NTHU library can only use all the materials within the library.
- 館內使用：限借閱當天閉館前歸還。使用完畢，務必歸還至流通櫃台 。
For the items restricted to intra-library use, users must return these items during regular Library hours. When the users finished reading the items, they need to return the items to the Circulation Desk.
- 讀者借閱調閱資料未如期歸還者，除停止其調閱權外，每冊（件）每逾一日須課以新臺幣五元之滯還金，逾期滿一個月者，其滯還金不再累計，改為每冊每逾一日停止借閱權一日。停權部份可折算成滯還金，每日仍以新臺幣五元計算。
Users who do not return the items will not only be suspended their borrowing rights, but also need to pay the overdue fine, NT$ 5 per day. When the overdue return is later than one month, the fine will not be cumulated anymore; instead, each overdue return of one day will lead to the suspension of the borrowing right for one day. The suspension of the borrowing right can be lifted by paying the fine that is also NT$ 5 per day.
